AGENDA FOR BREAKOUT WORK GROUPS - SESSION II<br />

The objectives <strong>of</strong> Session II are for each breakout group to (1) define eight to ten <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> most<br />

critical cross-cutting issues facing manufacturing industries in <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong>; (See examples on next page;)<br />

(2) discuss and suggest strategies for developing new manufacturing industries in <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong>. (See<br />

examples on next page.) The results <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> breakout groups will be reported in <strong>the</strong> 10:15 panel session on<br />

Tuesday morning, December 2.<br />

3:30 to 3:40 Introductions around <strong>the</strong> table and brief discussion on understanding <strong>the</strong> objectives for <strong>the</strong><br />

session.<br />

3:40 to 4:15 Brainstorm period to develop a list <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> most critical cross-cutting issues facing<br />

manufacturing industries in <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong>. The main focus should be on those issues which<br />

have technology-based solutions.<br />

4:15 to 4:30 Determine <strong>the</strong> eight to ten most critical issues.<br />

4:30 to 5:00 Brainstorm period to discuss, identify and recommend strategies for enhancing<br />

manufacturing industries in <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong>..<br />

5:00 to 5:15 Summarize results <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> session for presentation in <strong>the</strong> 10:15 panel on Tuesday morning.<br />

Prepare two to three questions for <strong>the</strong> Open Discussion at 2:15 on Tuesday afternoon.<br />
