threads is stamped "Long rifle Cart'ge only."<br />

(2) The fixed stud, to which is assembled the front sight group, is<br />

prevented frm moving laterally by a slot which bears on a lug on<br />

the upper side of the barrel. The fixed stud pin enters a hole in<br />

the fixed stud and a slight recess on the top of the barrel, preventing<br />

longitudinal displacement of the stud.<br />
