Note: For Class 1 feedlots <strong>and</strong> Class 2 feedlots where the clean<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>terval is less than one draft<br />

<strong>of</strong> cattle, removal <strong>of</strong> pack manure must only be carried out when weather conditions are such that<br />

damage to the pad will not occur <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong> regions <strong>of</strong> the pen (ma<strong>in</strong>ly near feed <strong>and</strong> water areas)<br />

where there is sufficient manure pack to scrape.<br />

* Pens should be scraped clean <strong>of</strong> manure with<strong>in</strong> 4 days <strong>of</strong> destock<strong>in</strong>g the opportunity feedlot.<br />

Where manure is not scraped <strong>and</strong> removed the manure should be <strong>in</strong>corporated <strong>in</strong>to the soil with<strong>in</strong><br />

four (4) days. It is suggested that a crop be grown follow<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>corporation <strong>of</strong> the manure <strong>in</strong>to the<br />

soil.<br />
