Using the <strong>Navigator</strong><br />

The <strong>Navigator</strong> operating procedures are designed to minimize the<br />

pilot memory items and to behave consistently across all operating<br />

modes and pages. This manual uses the following naming conventions.<br />

<strong>Navigator</strong> Refers to the TNL <strong>2000</strong> <strong>Approach</strong> <strong>Plus</strong> <strong>Navigator</strong>.<br />

Selector Knobs Refers to the two concentric knobs on the face of<br />

the <strong>Navigator</strong>.<br />

Key Refers to any of the keys on the face of the <strong>Navigator</strong>.<br />

Mode <strong>Navigator</strong> functions accessed by pressing a key.<br />

Page Data within a function, accessed by rotating the<br />

knobs.<br />

Waypoint A single point, such as a VOR, NDB or Airport.<br />

Procedure A collection of waypoints such as SIDs or STARs<br />

and <strong>Approach</strong>es.<br />
