I understand her shyness;
she’s an observer.
She told her mother about the other children.
I recall her detailed descriptions of everyone.
She’s so intelligent;
I love her dearly.
I feel her pain.
She looks for me;
she makes sure I’m still there.
I know it’s hard to be so sensitive.
She cries when it’s time for me to go.
I could cry too; God, it’s so hard sometimes.
I comfort her the next time she arrives.
I suggest things for her to do.
She does a painting, alone ...
I know she trusts me completely.
