From the mid 1950s, Peggy worked closely with the new design<br />
director, Jo Ledger. He encouraged her to break new ground with<br />
exciting contemporary designs including their 1950s teenagers and<br />
the Images series. Their collaborative Marriage of Art and Industry<br />
was highly acclaimed at the Brussels Exhibition of 1958 w<strong>here</strong><br />
Doulton won the Grand Prix. After <strong>this</strong> success, Peggy received<br />
several commissions for exhibition pieces, including cluding the Matador<br />
and Bull, Indian Brave and The Palio. In 1970 Pegg Peggy gy bbecame became the th the<br />
first Doulton artist to have her name inscribed on a figurine for<br />
