Contributed by Matthew Albanese, Esq. ‘90
Following his political science studies at Providence College, Matthew
Albanese went on to Suffolk University School of Law, where he graduated
in 1999. While working as a legislative aide, he obtained a Master’s Degree
in Business Administration from Suffolk University’s Sawyer School of
Management. He has also worked as legal counsel for the Massachusetts
House of Representatives’ Committee on Medicaid and currently specializes
in estate planning and elder law with Colucci, Colucci, Marcus & Flavin,
P.C. out of Milton, MA.
Mr. Albanese has volunteered his services in support of the Spellman
Community and will subsequently be a regular in this magazine,
addressing various avenues regarding charitable giving. In his series,
he will touch upon everything from charitable remainder trusts to
establishing a gift annuity. The purpose of this piece is strictly informative, providing the Cardinal Spellman
Community with quick facts while opening our eyes to the opportunities that planned giving presents
to us. However, should you wish to learn more, Matthew is willing to “meet with anyone free of charge,
particularly if it helps Spellman.”
We offer our sincere thanks to Matthew for offering his services!
Dan Burke ’82, a RE/MAX realtor,
has generously offered to give five
percent of his commission from
every sale by a Spellman graduate
or family member to the school’s
Annul Fund Campaign. For more
information, you may contact Dan
at danburke@remax.net or call him
at 774-218-0573.
