My research interests fall into three primary areas: 1) surgical infection,<br />
namely clinical investigations <strong>of</strong> new anti-infective agents; 2) prehospital<br />
emergency care, especially the out-<strong>of</strong>-hospital management <strong>of</strong> severe trauma;<br />
and 3) surgical critical care, primarily hemodynamic management and care <strong>of</strong><br />
victims <strong>of</strong> severe traumatic brain injury.<br />
