Hubert Egger works at the Pedagogical Institute <strong>in</strong> Feldkirch/Vorarlberg/Austria<br />

teach<strong>in</strong>g mathematics, physics and <strong>ICT</strong> <strong>in</strong> upper secondary school; elearn<strong>in</strong>gcoord<strong>in</strong>ator<br />

and project-manager <strong>for</strong> the ‘ILIAS open source learn<strong>in</strong>g management<br />

system’ <strong>in</strong> Vorarlberg/Austria.<br />

BELGIUM • Armand Greefs / Karel de Grote Hogeschool<br />

S<strong>in</strong>ce 2002 Armand Greefs has been teach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>ICT</strong> at the Karel de Grote Hogeschool<br />

<strong>in</strong> Antwerp, Belgium, <strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>itial teacher tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>for</strong> primary and secondary school<br />

teachers.<br />

Previously he taught <strong>ICT</strong>-related courses <strong>in</strong> secondary school <strong>for</strong> 18 years.<br />

CZECH REPUBLIC • Zdena Lustigova / Charles University Prague<br />

Zdena Lustigova’s <strong>education</strong>al and research work has concentrated on computer<br />

aided science <strong>education</strong>, especially on computer based laboratory work, on<br />

telecommunications technologies <strong>in</strong> <strong>education</strong> and computer based distance<br />

<strong>education</strong>. She focuses ma<strong>in</strong>ly on <strong>in</strong>-service teacher tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g, <strong>in</strong>ternational onl<strong>in</strong>e<br />

<strong>education</strong> and communication projects, and remote laboratories.<br />

DENMARK • Ulla Gjørl<strong>in</strong>g / UNI-C<br />

Ulla Gjørl<strong>in</strong>g is a chief consultant <strong>in</strong> UNI•C, The Danish IT Centre <strong>for</strong> Education and<br />

Research. She is responsible <strong>for</strong> a series of Pedagogical <strong>ICT</strong> Licences – a concept of<br />

teachers’ <strong>professional</strong> development <strong>in</strong> the pedagogical application of <strong>ICT</strong> <strong>in</strong> teach<strong>in</strong>g<br />

and learn<strong>in</strong>g. She is also <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> a number of European collaboration activities,<br />

among which the <strong>in</strong>ternational uptake of the Pedagogical <strong>ICT</strong> Licences <strong>in</strong> the eContent<br />

project EP<strong>ICT</strong>, see www.epict.org.<br />

ENGLAND • Kate Watson / School of Education and Lifelong Learn<strong>in</strong>g, University of Exeter<br />

Kate Watson has extensive experience <strong>in</strong> the field of <strong>ICT</strong> and e-learn<strong>in</strong>g with a<br />

specific focus on the teach<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>ICT</strong> and its use <strong>in</strong> the classroom. This is an active<br />

research area with<strong>in</strong> the school, with participation <strong>in</strong> the teach<strong>in</strong>g of the course from<br />

throughout <strong>ICT</strong> team.<br />

FINLAND • Jouni Kangasniemi / Senior Adviser, M<strong>in</strong>istry of Education<br />

Jouni Kangasniemi is currently work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>for</strong> the F<strong>in</strong>nish M<strong>in</strong>istry of Education. He is the<br />

chairman of a work<strong>in</strong>g group prepar<strong>in</strong>g the national guidel<strong>in</strong>es <strong>for</strong> <strong>in</strong>-service tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g of<br />

teachers. He has also been <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> the development of the F<strong>in</strong>nish Programme <strong>for</strong><br />

Education, Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g and Research <strong>in</strong> the In<strong>for</strong>mation Society. Currently he is one of the<br />

secretaries <strong>for</strong> the executive group <strong>for</strong> the programme.<br />

FRANCE • Georges-Louis Baron / Laboratoire EDA, Université René Descartes<br />

Georges-Louis Baron is professor of <strong>education</strong> at the French Institute <strong>for</strong> Pedagogical<br />

Research (INRP), where he has been <strong>in</strong> charge of a research department. He has<br />

been work<strong>in</strong>g on <strong>ICT</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>education</strong> <strong>for</strong> many years, with a special <strong>in</strong>terest <strong>in</strong> the study<br />

of social contexts.
