Week One: A River to Carry
God, you are amazing. We thank you for bringing us together to study and encourage one another. We ask
would do a great work in and through us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
What’s Happening in the Word?
The apostle Paul instructs us how to read the stories of the Old Testament.
He writes in I Corinthians 10:11:
“These things happened to [the Israelites] to serve as an example, and they were written down to
instruct us, on whom the ends of the ages have come.”
