In the name of God Amen the first daye of March and in the three<br />
and twentieth yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord James<br />
by the grace of God King of Great Brittayne Ffrance and Ireland<br />
defender of the faith. I Dionis Tremayne of Morvall in the<br />
County of Cornwall Spinster, having perfect rememberance<br />
(thanks be unto God who is the only health of the living and the<br />
everlasting life of those which dye in him) doe by his permission make<br />
this my Testament, declaring herein my last Will to be and stand<br />
forever and none other. Ffirst according to the duty of a christyan<br />
I commend my soule to God and my body to the earth, and ……<br />
the gyft and despose of those goods and chattels which doe remayne<br />
unto me in this myne old yeeres though they be but small. I give and<br />
dispose them in manner and forme as followeth. That is to say I<br />
give and bequeath to the poore of the parish of Duloe twenty shillings.<br />
Also I give and bequeath unto Orange Reeve who hath beene long<br />
with me and done me service my bedd whereon I lye …….<br />
and soe much of my apparel as shalbe worth twenty shillings.<br />
The rest of my goods and chattels whatsoever (my debts legacyes and<br />
funeral first deducted payd and satissfyed according to the true intent<br />
of this my present Will) I wholly give devise and appointe to Phillip<br />
Mayow esq (who hath maryed Edith my sisters daughter, which was<br />
brought upp by me and who hath ever beene loving and dutifull unto<br />
mee) and I ordayne name and appoint him to be the sole executor<br />
of this my present Testament, and I doe appoint and ……. my<br />
good friends Mr John Gyll and Mr Stephen Mayow, Merchant to be<br />
overseers of this my Wyll and Testament that it may be performed<br />
according to my true meaning, and for the further truth hereof I<br />
have to this my present Testament putt my hand and seale ….. …..<br />
