KCIC inaugurates new Customer Relationship Department
Throughout our journey in the
concrete business which
started back in 2001, we
always strived to be the first
choice our customers make
when it comes to ready mix
concrete and pre-casted
concrete products.
In order to deliver outstanding
services, KCIC
realized that it is essential to
adapt customer relationship
focused culture. Others can
offer promotions and slash
prices to bring in as many new
customers as they want, but
we believe that good
customer service is the
lifeblood of our business and
we always seek long term
relationships. The secret of
our good relation with our
customers is based on the
belief that “We are judged by
what we do and not what we
say”. This is how we always
gain repeat business and
favorable recommendations
POWER-GEN Middle East and WaterWorld Middle East
2012 attracts large global audience
The 10th annual POWER-
GEN Middle East and inaugural
WaterWorld Middle
East conference and exhibition
achieved a 30 per cent
increase in attendance attracting
nearly 3,000 leading
government and industry
professionals and executives
from 65 countries around
the world.
Held from 6-8 February at
the new Qatar National Convention
Centre, the event
was inaugurated by the Minister
for Energy and Industry,
H.E. Dr Mohammed bin
Saleh al Sada and supported
by KAHRAMAA as partner
and Qatar Electricity and Water
Company.
This year marked the launch
of WaterWorld Middle East
as a separate branded, colocated
conference and exhibition
in response to the
continued growth and development
in the water and
wastewater sector. This follows
continued interest in
water and wastewater after
a “Water Track” element was
first introduced to the conference
programme in 2008.
With no fresh natural water
supplies, GCC countries
are expected to invest more
than $100 billion in their water
sector up to 2016 with
improved desalination technologies
including solar and
new ways of filtering out salt
as well as increased treated
wastewater measures.
WaterWorld Middle East
Conference Director, Tom
Freyberg, said, “The event
was a great success with a
top-notch conference programme
that featured some
of the world’s most expert
speakers from the industry
and a dual exhibition that
showcased exciting new
products and designs from
leading players and we look
forward to returning to Qatar
with another action-packed
programme in February
2013.”
Qatar’s economy is the second
fastest growing economy
in the world per capita offering
the international community
a variety of world-class
and pioneering products and
services. The strength of the
economy and surge in energy
and water market projects
and developments over the
next decade in line with the
2022 World Cup, made Qatar
the ideal choice to celebrate
the 10th annual POWER-GEN
Middle East and 1st annual
WaterWorld Middle East conference
and exhibition as
well as the chance to take
advantage of Qatar National
Convention Centre’s state-ofthe-art
facilities.
Under the theme “Changing
POWER and Water Solutions
in Challenging Times”,
the main focus of this year’s
event was plant modernization
and optimization, emerging
trends and technologies,
and new enterprises and
partnerships. POWER-GEN
Middle East 2012 Conference
Director, Nigel Blackaby
said, “With the acceleration
in the privatization of the
energy sector in the Middle
East, POWER-GEN Middle
East proved a great success
in opening avenues for establishing
new business opportunities
with a particular
focus on improving efficiency
and flexibility with renewables
and gas turbine advancements
as well as securing
finance and investment
as private and public sectors
look to join forces for future
project developments.”
Led by over 100 eminent
international speakers from
23 countries, the conference
covered many issues from
market structure and market
trends to strategic planning
to the latest technologies
and operational challenges
in the form of 27 strategic
and technical topics spanning
over 14 sessions.
The most popular Water-
World Middle East sessions
included MENA Spotlights,
Desalination Future Trends
and Biosolids technologies
whilst for POWER-GEN Middle
East, Country Spotlights,
Emerging Trends in the IPP
Market, Technologies for Operational
Flexibility and Gas
Turbines in the 50 Hz Market
attracted particular interest.
Running alongside the con-
ference was the exhibition
with many top names in the
power and water sector represented.
On display, visitors
and delegates were able to
see and discuss first hand
the latest cutting-edge equipment
and technology serving
the power and water industries
from 135 local, regional
and international companies.
The organisers for the
event, PennWell Corporation,
have confirmed plans are
well under way for the return
of POWER-GEN Middle East
and WaterWorld Middle East
to Doha from 4-6 February
2013 at Qatar National Convention
