Walk Alissa Lovett of Edmond, Oklahoma chose
to step out of her comfort zone and pursue
her dreams with an Arbonne business. She
drove her son home from the hospital in a Mercedes-
Benz, and is living the life of her dreams!
Just three and a half years ago, at the age of 22, I had no idea I would
be making a decision that would dramatically change the way my life
would look forever. As a recent college graduate and nanny, I felt stuck.
I had never had any ambition to have a successful business career, have
an office or go to corporate meetings, but I knew there was more to life
than what I was living.
I was offered the wonderful gift of Arbonne while on the job, by the new
neighbor of the family I worked for. New NVP Carrie MacDonald painted
a very clear picture of where she was going with Arbonne and where she
could help me go. An introvert at heart, I didn’t really know if it would
be a fit for me, but I was strongly encouraged by my fiancé to jump in.
As I launched my Arbonne business, I also got married and was in
the process of landing a Special Education job at the new elementary
school in town. After a year of working my Arbonne business part-time
“I thought to myself, ‘Why stop now?’”
alongside my full-time teaching job, I was able to replace my teaching
income! My husband, Jeff and I found out a month later that we were
expecting our first baby, so we decided that quitting my teaching job
and focusing more on Arbonne was the best choice for our family. We
set a goal for me to earn my white Mercedes-Benz and drive Cale home
from the hospital in style! After six months and lots of hard work, we
were able to promote to Region, earning my car in June of 2010, and
our Cale was born the very next month. I was also fortunate enough
to promote-out my first business builder and RVP, Sara Keener, on the
very same day!
At a time of great transition, I remember having a conversation with my
incredible sponsor, Carrie. She strongly encouraged me to keep going,
to push for Nation and to not stay “satisfied,” because there were a lot
