Episcopal Church, Wilmington, DE, daughter <strong>of</strong> Joseph <strong>Harlan</strong> <strong>and</strong> Edith Pyle. She was born 25 Jul 1748 in<br />
Kennet Twp., Chester Co., PA, <strong>and</strong> died in Albemarle Co., VA.<br />

<strong>Jesse</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Sarah</strong> imigrated from Pennsylvania to Maryl<strong>and</strong> after the birth <strong>of</strong> their children <strong>and</strong> then they moved on<br />
to Albemarle Co., Virginia.<br />
The house where <strong>Jesse</strong> was born was built about 1725 by his gr<strong>and</strong>father Ge<strong>org</strong>e. It was enlarged at least once,<br />
perhaps when John inherited it when he became 21 (1737) (or more likely, perhaps, when he married in 1740.). It<br />
was inhabited by the <strong>Harlan</strong> family until 1950 when Annie <strong>Harlan</strong> died. The house title descended through the<br />
