• Applied Economics. Actually graduate student <strong>of</strong> the Agriculture and Applied Economics Ph.D.<br />

program <strong>of</strong> the University <strong>of</strong> Minnesota. I have completed all coursework, and working on my<br />

dissertation.<br />

• Project design and management, emphasizing those related to scientific research and<br />

technological development, and their practical applications; including the problem definition<br />

phase, analysis <strong>of</strong> alternatives, assessing the technical solution, elaboration <strong>of</strong> the project,<br />

execution control, and results evaluation.<br />

• Planning and results measuring. I have vast experience on the monitoring and evaluation <strong>of</strong> the<br />

outcomes <strong>of</strong> projects. Using assessing tools such as stakeholders' meetings, panels, round tables,<br />

technology oriented polls, agents’ census; I coordinated the elaboration <strong>of</strong> the II Science and<br />

Technology National Plan. Also Directed the strategic planning process <strong>of</strong> the Commonwealth<br />

Terrace Community, a 468 household complex.<br />

• Innovation and competitiveness. During his last post as Project Coordinator at FUNDACYT,<br />

and in charge <strong>of</strong> the preparation <strong>of</strong> the II National Program for Science and Technology <strong>of</strong><br />

Ecuador, I was involved in the design <strong>of</strong> the Component <strong>of</strong> Innovation <strong>of</strong> the Private Sector.<br />

Graduate studies on project and MBA at Escuela Politecnica Nacional.<br />

• Computer programming and use <strong>of</strong> technical programs in data processing, or managerial<br />

activities. Computer modeling, scientific programming, numerical analysis, use <strong>of</strong> large data sets<br />

for data mining, managerial decision making; artificial intelligence. Certificate at University <strong>of</strong><br />

Minnesota in Information Technologies; Master in Computer and Information Sciences; and<br />

teacher on Information Sciences subjects in two universities in Ecuador.<br />
