40mcube
40mcube is an exhibition space and a bureau for modern art
projects. Its main purpose is artistic production, and close
collaboration with artists throughout the creative process is
sought: feasibility study, technical support, manufacturing, and
even the presentation of the work in individual exhibitions,
as well as their communication and mediation to the public.
This collaboration and production with the artists is caused
of followed by a reflection on current art that is seen in group
exhibitions and publications.
Several missions have been outlined: 40mcube — exhibition;
40mcube — publishing; and 40mcube AV that works with the
audiovisual sector and video artists, providing an international
art film agenda; 40mcube — a public space that works on
artistic projects taking place outside the exhibition area
with the Chantier public (Open studio) project and the New
commissioners mechanism (Fondation de France). 40m cube
occupies an industrial building and houses a 170m² exhibition
area, the Black Room dedicated to video, and a production
studio, on a 1100m 2 ² plot designed as an urban sculpture park.
