A trip to Grand Lake isn’t complete without a stop
in Miami. Situated at the far north end of the lake,
Miami’s small-town atmosphere is complemented by
fun, entertainment and attractions.
An attraction that draws worldwide visitors to
Miami is Historic Route 66. This nostalgic roadway
has 426 drivable miles in the state of Oklahoma,
the longest stretch of any state. In Miami,
you will find a rare 13 mile stretch of the original
Route 66 Ribbon Road.
While visiting Miami discover the “jewel” of
Route 66, the Coleman Theatre Beautiful. This
historical theatre opened to a full house on April
18, 1929. From that day forward the Coleman
has never been “dark”. Worth an estimated
$8,000,000 the theatre hosts ballets, theatre performances, and concerts.
Free tours are given Tuesday through Saturday.

Route 66 Vintage Iron Motorcycle Museum is our latest attraction.
Home to Steve McQueen’s personal racing Husqvarna and his racing
trophies as well as the only 1919 GCS Australian Motorcycle left in
existence.
The area is rich with Native American history. Nine tribes call the area
home. The most notable place in town to find historical Indian artifacts
is at the Dobson Museum where you will also discover a collection of
china, glassware, an extensive jug collection, an area mining display,
and an assortment of furniture and toys used by the first settlers.
Many Indian powwows are held throughout the year and are open
to the public. Please refer to the calendar of events for a complete
