The Merit and Top
Ten Students, as well as
the Sr. Mary Sylvester
Marpha awardees, were
recognized in the Year
End Recognition Rites
last July 20, 2011 held
in the St. Cecilia’s Hall.
At eight in the morning,
various teachers
including the High
School Principal, Sr.
Adela, and the OIC
for Academics, Mrs.
Cura, presented the different
awardees with
their respective honors.
The students proudly
marched up the stage as
their schoolmates and
parents applauded and
congratulated them for
their achievements.
Merits are awarded
to students with an average
grade of 3.00 to
Ms. Lim asked the
students who replied
gloomily with a “yes”.
Ms. Lim laughed,
New St. Cecilia’s Building
opens to public
June 11, 2011–
The new St. Cecilia’s
Building was formally
opened to the public after
a year of reconstruction.
Many participated
in this momentous
event, including the
school administrators,
alumnae, selected students,
and other guests.
Before the new
structure underwent
the blessing rite, a holy
mass was celebrated in
commemoration of the
Feast of St. Benedict,
HS adds new multimedia
equipment
BY PATRICIA REMOQUILLO AND VIANCA OCAMPO
More audiovisual
equipment were added
this school year in order
to allow progress
in the students’ learning
and to cope with
recent technology. Various
materials have been
made available in the
IMC NonPrint section,
not only for the students’
use, but also for
the teachers who seek
assistance in presenting
new lessons in a more
visual manner.
According to the AV
staff, the goal for this
school year is to have
during the previous
years. The teachers and
students have often had
problems with moving
to the AVR or to
other rooms in order to
use audiovisual equipment.
Another concern
during previous years
was the lack of time for
reservation of equipment.
These problems have
been addressed this
year through the addition
of more multimedia
devices. Most of the
building, including the
mezzanine. The other
high school administrators,
as well as the Student
Council President,
followed her as the service
proceeded.
The old St. Cecilia’s
Building had
been demolished in
order to give way to
the improvement of
the facilities. With the
reconstruction of this
building, more amenities,
as well as space,
have become available
to the Scholastican
community.
addressed the problem
with multimedia reservation.
New CD’s, softwares,
hardwares and
other disks that can be
used for reference are
now accessible to the
High School Unit.
This will not only
allow the High School
students to learn more,
but also help the students
to appreciate their
lessons better. Therefore,
if the students are
having trouble understanding
their lessons
or if they merely wish
to learn more about the
topic, they may go to
the AVR and examine
the disks available.
HS revises Student Handbook
HS Unit...
BY EUGENIE HUIBONHOA AND BEATRIZ JOCSON
For school year
20112012, the High
School Unit has implemented
revisions to the
rules and regulations
stipulated in the student
handbook. These revi
the students into becoming
women of character,
competence. An updated
handbook containing the
necessary changes has
recently been released.
New minor offenses
stipulated in the handbook
are the following:
In addition to this, the
new handbook states
that “any other act that
is not serious but nevertheless
offensive shall
be treated as a minor of
which also included a
similar policy in their
curriculum. This policy
was implemented
to maximize learning
in the classroom and
to make sure that the
students do their own
work, which would
then be checked immediately
by the teacher.
However, only written
assignments such as exercises,
drills, computations,
and prelabs are
covered by the policy.
Because of the policy,
many students now
have more time to focus
on other things such as
studying for examinations
instead of having
ADS SAYS:
No evil shall escape our sight
Let those who worship evil’s might,
(Based on the Green Lantern Oath)
If there’s one thing that could be used describe Mikee, it is the fact that she LOVES to talk. This makes her perfect for the
position of SC Vice President. She is in charge of the Social Awareness committee, so everything that comes out of her mouth
is either (1) a current social issue, (2) a very important announcement, or (3) a random fact that you just HAVE to know. Her
passion for being heard and expressing herself extends to her many talents as well, like debating (she is currently a member of
the Debate Society), acting (she used to be on a TV show called Kids on Q and was part of the drama club in her grade school
days) and socializing (she has a knack for making instant friends even in a short period of time). Mikee is also a constant name
in the Top 10 of her batch, plus her leadership skills and sense of justice cannot be messed with. Intimidated? Don’t be! If you
get to meet her, she’ll charm you in an instant!
MIKEE SAYS:
Did you know that the debt of the US to various institutions is worth $13 trillion? That amount of
money can buy the whole continent of Asia, thrice. Random quote aside, my short message will
be short. Please watch the news and please support this year’s SC because this year is bound to
be great! I’m looking forward to a wonderful year with all of you.
Despite being one of the smallest members of the Student Council, Isa proves that she is exceptional when it comes to
completing the tasks assigned to her. With her two years of experience in the Student Council, this small but incredibly determined
girl took on the tough role of being the SC Secretary during the hardest year of High School (according to popular opinion)—Junior
Year. Isa is in charge of the Student Welfare Committee a.k.a. how to make students happy (or at least relatively
so), but there is no doubt that she will continue to contribute a big part in the Student Council’s success using her hardearned
experience, innate cheerfulness and her fervor in the pursuit of excellence.
ISA SAYS:
Have fun this year! We will hopefully make this year epic and memorable for you.
First describing herself as the girl “in a loving relationship with math”, we can safely assume that Bea Luna is certainly
a very, very unique person. The Student Council is proud to have Bea on board for this school year, as she is a force to be
reckoned with. Breaking the stereotype of the typical math geek, she is not the type of person to lock herself in her room for
1,3.*)`3*+)*+3(2%"=a%"*+'#(5)F'#)=,'*)#"()!"(*)1'.*'$/)01#$$'"='*)*1'C()=$#($2)+#Z'),"?)4*)+1'),"')+#*Z'()*:'#.1'#()#$$)+1')
Environmental Awareness programs, Bea has proposed some fun, new ideas for the student body, such as the Stand Up and
Drive and the Canvass Bag project. Despite her uncanny but incredible skill when it comes to math, Bea remains downtoearth
and continues to devote her 100% in serving the student body. She’s not just all nerdy too. Bea has a cool and quirky
side to her—she has the hugest crush on Anakin Skywalker (and Darth Vader); she is extremely sensitive about Fall Out Boy
and the like, plus she aspires to build robots in the future! With her many hopes for herself and especially the High School,
hopefully all her hard work wouldn’t be a waste this school year.
BEA SAYS:
I just genuinely hope you’ll be supporting all of the council’s activities. That aside, I’d also like
to tell you now that I wasn’t kidding when I said [that] you CAN save the world. (‘cause saving
the earth = saving the world.)
While she may be initially known as the SC member with the most unique name, Nova’s plans for the student body will
have her remembered differently in no time. As Club Coordinating Chairperson, she is assigned to concoct a variety of projects
to encourage school spirit and pride for our Alma Mater. She is also responsible for formulating new plans to keep the
student body involved in school organizations and club activities. Despite her very laidback and cool personality, Nova is
incredibly dedicated to her job and isn’t afraid to push boundaries to achieve her tasks. She is also a great friend and an excel
for the position.
NOVA SAYS:
Hey guys! I just hope that for this year, the SC and I would inspire you to become better Scholasticans!
Czarina, or Cza for short, is probably the Student Council’s own Mother Teresa—a younger and cuter version, of course.
She was elected as this school year’s Student Council Outreach Student Coordinator as a result of her being a committed
student leader. She serves as the bridge between the Student Council and the Tanggapan ng Kalinga, and she oversees all the
outreach programs that the High School students take part in. Despite her busy schedule as a senior and an honor student, Cza
always allots time every week to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters. Even on Saturdays, you will still see her leading
the SEP Tutorials, or in the SC/TK Room arranging the logistics for her very own outreach projects. As a leader, she does
91#+'A'.)*1')+1%"Z*)%*).%=1+)#"()-'"'!0%#$)/,.)+1')D#`,.%+2?
CZA SAYS:
Though these things might seem irrelevant to you, hopefully you learned something from all the
things you just read. Being in the Student Council did not ever cross my mind, and if you told
me I would be in this position four years ago, I would have laughed. Now look where I am. I
do believe that if you put your mind to something, you can do it. Do not be afraid to aspire for
something more, because at times, even you will be surprised at what you can do. So I hope you
guys support the Outreach Program as well as the Student Council. May this year be memorable
for all of us. Thanks. ;)
The seniors better start buckling up! It’s going to be an exciting year for them with Lesley as their batch representative.
Sometimes extremely random and slightly weird (in a good way) but generally fun to be with, the fourth year batch representative
has a lot of interesting ideas and projects in store for the seniors. With her personal vision to see her whole batch
march together during graduation, Lesley intends to keep a sparkling clean batch record for the whole year. She also plans to
9%")+1')A'.2)!.*+)W,3*')63:5)+,)$#3"01)#$$)1'.):.,`'0+*)*300'**/3$$25)#"()+,)%"*:%.')'A'.2,"')#.,3"()1'.)+,)(,)+1'%.)-'*+)#"()
to reach for their dreams. With a determined heart and a capable mind and body, Lesley hopes to go above and beyond what
is expected of her and her batch.
LESLEY SAYS:
I know this year is pretty tight and what keeps me on the run is this (try to keep it in mind) : There
is no failure, only delayed success.
Pat is perhaps one of the bubbliest people you’ll ever get the opportunity to meet. She has a whole load of big dreams
for her batch, mainly focusing on the unity and positive change of her batchmates. Despite the expectations that being in the
Student Council brings about, Pat still manages to look at it as motivation to do her best for her batch. Pat’s happygolucky
personality helps her communicate with her friends and batchmates easily, and her positive attitude is enough to inspire the
people around her.
PAT SAYS:
Hey Batchmates! Don’t let the new base40 rule stop you guys from reaching your goals. It’s just
one of the many challenges that the Lord has given us. And remember, God never gives us challenges
that we can’t overcome!
Maria (or Bibam to her close friends) is the Scholastican version of Shirley Temple. She’s the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet,
good curriculum, great experiences,
and amazing people.
Scholasticans, on the other
hand, are very nice because
of their religious upbringing,
and because of the way the
school molds them.
Is there a message that you
would like to impart to the
students?
Yes—with regard to
art, we as art teachers always
tell our students that they
don’t have to be very good at
it. They only have to appreciate
art in all its beauty and
strive to have an understanding
of it.
she loves reading science
she ever get the chance to, to
and it shows.
Why did you become a
I became a teacher
because of two major rea
of teachers which inspired
me a lot, and second, the status
of education in our country.
What are your goals as a
teacher?
As a teacher I have
three main goals: [to] continuously
inspire students, stay
positive even when things
change, and improve my effectiveness.
What are your expectations
towards your students?
I only have one expectation
with my students:
“Good Academic Standings”
What is your favorite
quote?
“There’s no need to
rush. If something is meant
9,3$()*3.'$2)!+).%=1+)%")1'.'?)
It is no doubt that her students
would agree to this.
How were you in high
school?
I was in the honors
class but was not an honors
student. My grades were average.
But in third year, I was
easygolucky, so in fourth
year, I was placed in a section
second to the honors class.
Why did you decide to teach
in St. Scho?
When I decided to
resign in another school, my
husband and I decided to
transfer to Pasig. Then my
friend called me up and asked
me if I wanted to teach in
SSC. So I thought this would
be a good opportunity for me.
I think it’s all part of God’s
plan for me.
What do you think of the
school and the students?
Well, St. Scho is well
known for its high standards
in education. The students
seem behaved so far. (laughs)
So what is your message to
the students?
I’ll try my best to
teach my students and I’ll see
to it that most of them will
learn something from me.
Among the many
new faces this year is Ms.
RoAn Lapeña, a teacher
who is now returning to her
beloved alma mater. She
studied in SSC from grade
school to high school, and
became the President of the
Creative Writers’ Guild during
her Junior and Senior
years. Aside from performing
with the Manila Symphony
Orchestra, she has also made
it a point to continue playing
the violin at SSC’s College of
Music.
What are your thoughts on
Scholasticans?
I don’t exactly
know what to say, seeing as
I’m a Scholastican myself,
but I know for a fact that
they’ve always been noisy.
But there’s also the productive
noise that teachers like,
but that doesn’t really make
sense because “noise” is generally
negative. And Scholasticans
in Manila have always
been very into exclusive
trends, like the way they fold
their skirts when they’re sitting
down and the unclear locations
of their waistlines.
What advice do you want
to give your students and
Scholasticans in general?
READ. Reading is
the golden rule to success.
You can’t move forward before
understanding what it is
you have to do. You have to
read to know, and that’s what
you call an informed decision!
He takes his job very seriously,
so don’t be surprised
also enjoys playing the guitar
and singing. He may also
be a familiar face to some,
since he transferred from the
Grade School Unit. He lives
by the motto that teaching
and learning is a continuous
process.
What inspired you to become
a Social Studies
teacher?
I decided to become
a teacher because it runs in
my veins, and the demand for
teachers was high during the
late 1980s. And honestly, I
chose Social Studies because
my friends were all taking up
the same course (a Major in
History) in Far Eastern University.
What issues do you wish to
address?
I would like Scholasticans
to be aware of the corruption
and poverty present
in today’s day and age. And
as this year’s school theme
states, I hope that they will
be known as true leaders who
will be transparent and willing
to serve the people without
expecting anything in return.
What do you think of SSC
so far?
I now agree with
what Miss Lim told me –
that “SSC would be the best
training ground for teachers,
especially for the newbies”,
because it pushes me to be
the best that I can be, and the
environment is conducive to
being the most productive.
Do you have any message
for the students?
Value education. You
are privileged; you can study
in a school that gives everything
to you, and whose
teachers are willing to do so
as well.
Despite being seen
by the students as a quiet
teacher, Ms. Noella Mayi
Orozco has a lot to offer.
She is a Philippine Normal
University graduate who majored
in Filipino, so it is no
surprise that she is teaching
the subject here in SSC. She
is a teacher who can relate to
students (she likes to watch
movies in her spare time)
and who can impart unique
knowledge. With a sense of
How do you deal with the
students?
I know I need to
“capture” them. The admin
does the best to discipline
the students, so I will too.
The previous school I taught
was in the College unit, so
we, both student and teacher,
had a come and go attitude.
But I cannot have that now. I
have to check on my advisory
hard, but it’s okay. It’s part of
being a teacher.
What message do you have
for the students?
Follow the rules!
Study hard, and show respect
and be prayerful!
“The Benedictine
he takes those words to heart.
What are your goals as a
Mr. Ariel Capati believes
that teachers should
not just be limited to what
they teach and should know
at least the surface of many
things that could reach their
students because “students
are so diverse”. He tries to
read a lot to know more about
what his students like to do
so that he could reach out to
them and encourage them to
get interested in the subjects
he teaches: General Science
to be seen as a teacher that
And his last words during the
A GUIDE TO
BY ROSEWYNN SALVAN AND NIOBE VIDAL ILLUSTRATIONS BY MR. AUDIE D. LAUDENCIA
In this school, we come across a variety of people everyday. ere are those who act like some people we know, and then, there
are those who just seem a little… odd. However, despite the variety of equally strange and amazing characters we run into each day,
this article aims to complete the daunting task of categorize these people based on their personalities and interests.
Note: Some people may notice that they fall under more than one from each category. is is perfectly normal. However, one
may wish to call a psychiatrist if one sees all personalities and interests as dominant in oneself.
PERSONALITIES
Plain Wallpapers
Imagine that you are a vibrant red wallpaper. Everyone looks at you
because of the wonderfully bright color you give o. However, this is not
about you. is is about that other wallpaper in the stock
room– the one that’s plain and pale.
e Plain Wallpapers are those contrary to the
typical Scholastican stereotype. During class, they do
not or only barely recite, not because they don’t know
the answer, but because they don’t know how to express it.
During free time, it is unlikely for them
to be seen walking around and talking to
people. ey would usually choose to sit in one
corner and read or draw.
HOW TO TALK TO THEM: Ask them about what
they’re doing at the moment.
Let’s say that you’re a very so-spoken pe
son who just happened to receive from a teacher
some information that needs to be announced.
You tried to tell your classmates about it, but no one
could hear it because of all the noise. Who should you
call? e Megaphones.
ese people are perfectly capable of speaking
in front of a large crowd and still be heard by those
sitting in a corner at the very back. Conversely, they are
incapable of talking to their seatmate without being
heard by at least three people in the vicinity. And
THE PLAIN WALLPAPER just like the object they are named aer, they
could repeat the same thing over and over
again without getting tired.
HOW TO TALK TO THEM: Stay around their general
location. ey will talk to you.
Paper Boats
If you place a paper boat on a rushing
stream, it will just go with the ow. Of
course, it will get soaked and torn later
on, but it’s not like it will care.
e same goes for Paper Boats.
Whenever there is a test, they would most
likely be seen cramming their studying on
the day itself, if they would actually
bother to review in the rst place.
Group work? Just give them something easy
to do and they’ll cheer from the sidelines
while others do the rest of the work. Failing
grade? ey’ll shrug it o and try to cheer
someone else up. Even if they don’t make
good examples for diligent students, they
Scholastican Stereotypes
Megaphones
THE MEGAPHONE
could be good friends who brighten up every day with their cheerfulness.
HOW TO TALK TO THEM: Any topic would do. ey’ll go with the ow
of the conversation.
Straws
Straws are plastic tubes used to drink beverages without letting
them spill on you. You sip the drink through them eortlessly. Now, translate
that three-letter word from the previous sentence (not “the”) into Filipino,
and you will get the essence of what Straws are.
ese Straws aren’t exactly as reliable as their object counterparts
though they do retain their features. Straws tend to put on a façade when
dealing with their teachers and classmates, most likely to earn a favor from
them or to avoid punishment. Of course, this doesn’t always work, but they
would rather try at least. One of their redeeming qualities would be their
willingness to help those they care about. If you are on good terms with
them, they will most likely assist you in achieving your goals. If not… Let’s
just say you should be careful around them.
HOW TO TALK TO THEM: Talk to them about school. ey will probably
have the latest news.
The Wrathful and the Sullen
is stereotype has been derived from one
of the Circles of Hell from Dante’s Inferno. And
just like the residents of that circle, these people
are either perpetually angry or perpetually sad.
Maybe they aren’t always like that. However,
their dispositions do tend to be extreme all
the time, even if they are feeling dierent
emotions at the same time. Also, they tend
to lean towards mood-swings. It should no
longer surprise you to see them jumping in glee
one moment and screaming with rage the next.
HOW TO TALK TO THEM: Watch your
words. Anything can set o their berserk
button.
INTERESTS
Party People
Turn the lights down and get low
on the dance oor. ese are the girls who
work hard and party harder. Party People
are those who decide to leave all their worries THE BAND GEEK
behind and get lost on the dance oor. Come
the weekend, they shake o all the stresses of the week gone by, and dance
all their problems away.
ey are usually thought of as snobs, brats and bullies. Usually outspoken
and straight to the point, they intimidate a lot of people which is
why some just stay clear of them. However, they are extremely friendly
and sociable once you get to know them. ey are also very good event
organizers. ey have a lot of original ideas for they know how to start
trends, get things going, and have fun.
HOW TO TALK TO THEM: Ask them what they’re doing this weekend or
what they did last weekend.
Band Geeks
Headphones in, volume up. ese kids are the die-hard music
fans, but not just of any type of music. ese are the people who listen
to bands and are constantly scouring the internet for pictures, updates and
tour announcements. ey talk about their bands
non-stop, and know every single thing about the
members. eir priorities get muddled when
their bands are in town too.
ey are generally seen as peculiar because
of their obsessions and interests, and are usually
quiet and easily ignored. ey aren’t very
noticeable until you oend them. Most of the
time, they are socially inept and inelegant.
ey are very friendly though, and very determined.
ey are also loyal and stick up for each
other.
HOW TO TALK TO THEM: Quote song lyrics
from their favorite bands.
Camera Autocrats
It has been said that a picture is worth a
thousand words. If that is the case, then the
Camera Autocrats would have millions more words
than any writer.
ese Camera Autocrats are the girls who
volunteer to bring their cameras to school for every
opportunity they could nd. However, instead of taking
the pictures they’re supposed to take, they tend to get
photographs of themselves or of other random things.
In addition to that, if you try to take their
beloved camera from them, the Camera
Autocrats will get upset and will try
to get it back from you as soon as
they could.
Despite their camera-hogging tendency, they are quite talented at
wielding the said device. us, you can be reassured that they’ll have at
least one good picture for your project.
HOW TO TALK TO THEM: Ask them if you could take a picture with
them or of them.
Socially Inactive Artists
THE SOCIALLYINACTIVE ARTIST
Picture a world where there is complete silence. ere is no
sound except your thoughts and the low hum of people’s conversations
in the distance. You see so much color, so much life and so
much beauty that you are itching to transfer it onto paper or a canvas.
at is the world this stereotype lives in. Socially Inactive Artists
are the people you would see on their own, staring at something
no one else can see. ey have extreme emotions and live in a world
they alone can understand. Usually wallowers, they are not easy to
talk to and are oen called “odd” or “bizarre”. However, they are extremely
talented and are capable of appreciating beauty anywhere.
ey are also very good listeners once you get them back to reality.
Otakus
No, these are not the random fangirls
who say “at neko is so kawaii desu!!
^_^” because real Otakus would just call them
“weeaboos”. Otakus are the people who are
interested enough in Japanese culture (or
some other East Asian culture) to actually
study about it, but are sane enough to know
that they aren’t from that country. Also, they
know that “otaku” was not originally used to
describe them, but that the term came from
the Japanese word for someone else’s house or
family.
ese people can be seen in a small
group detached from the rest of the world
as they talk on endlessly about the latest show
they’ve seen or the video game they just managed
to nish aer three days of working on it non-stop.
Do not be surprised if you see them walking around
somewhere while wearing strange costumes that you
would never be seen in. at’s just how they
roll; you can’t do anything about it.
HOW TO TALK TO THEM: Mention an animé game, or drama title that
you know about. Be careful about classifying “animé” as “cartoons” because
you will most likely end up listening to a ve-minute rant. Also, be very
careful about mixing up the Japanese, Korean, and Chinese cultures because
this will earn you another rant session.
Nerds
THE OTAKU
“What is the diameter of the sun?”
“e sun is 1.4 million kilometres or 870,
000 miles, which is around 109 times
the Earth and 9.7 times Jupiter.”
Nerds are also very
popular stereotypes. ey
have been around for so long,
everybody knows what “nerd” means
right away. However, the title of “nerd”
is not usually given as a form of admiration.
Nerds are usually the walking
encyclopedias with vocabularies as
wide as the diameter of the sun.
ey just seem to know everything.
ey are the ones with pristine and
complete notes and who never fails
to submit anything properly and on time. ey are not exactly
sociable and easy to talk to either, as
they are shy and oen have unconventional
interests and compulsive
behaviours. However they are sincerely
nice and friendly, once you get to
know them. ey also make
very good study partners and can
THE NERD
help you develop responsible habits.
HOW TO TALK TO THEM: Drop a fact or two about a topic they’re interested
in.

ALUMNA FEATURE:
Jasmine Shewakramani
Interview by Alex Bichara
People don’t expect to land a dream job upon
graduating from college, but that is exactly what
happened to Jasmine Shewakramani when she
graduated from her beloved alma mater just last
school year. She was an intern at the GMA network
in her junior year before becoming an online
editor for TimeOut Singapore for 6 months in her
senior year. She went on to work for the Philippine
Star and she is now the Editorial Assistant for the
Inquirer, with her very own calling card! Benjamin
Franklin once said, “Either do something worth
writing about or write about something worth doing,”
and that is exactly how this True Blue Scholastican
sees things.
Her career in journalism started out as, in Jasmine’s
words, an accident. She started writing secretly
in grade four, and her talent for writing was
!"#$$2)-.,3=1+),3+)-2)1'.)/.'*1D#")2'#.?);@)3*'()
to write on my notebooks or yellow pad paper and
my friends would comment on them. I just thought
it was funny that they liked it,” Jasmine says. She
continued writing, and by the time she got to Junior
year, things changed. She had a writing assignment
for her elective, and her teacher, Mr. Arellano (who
does not teach here anymore), said that he liked her
writing style. According to Jasmine, that was “the
intro to whatever I wanted”. The following year
she was accepted into Delta Chi and became The
Blue Flame’s features editor.
By the latter part of senior year, Jasmine found
that she had been accepted into La Salle, UST, and
SSC. Jasmine recalls, “I chose SSC because they
Redef ining
The new generation has always associated “heroes” with power, prestige
and privilege. The word “hero” itself brings up the images of President
Corazon and Senator Ninoy Aquino, of the educated Gat Jose P. Rizal and of
military men who fought relentlessly for the country. Last June 28, however,
different kind, one that is both a reinvention and a challenge.
Those he services as a tricycle driver in Novaliches commonly know Rolando
Walican, 25 years old, as “Mang Rolando” or even simply “Manong”.
And yet Mang Rolando is no ordinary tricycle driver; he rose to national fame
when he was interviewed in the primetime news program TV Patrol and was
proclaimed as one of the most honest Filipinos of the generation.
Being the breadwinner of a family of seven –with a 19year old wife and
a oneyear old daughter, it is important for him to make wise decisions in the
face of even the most compromising situations. He works hard, with integrity
and honesty, because he knows that he has loved ones to provide for. These
values were tested when one of his passengers, an Engineer Baluyot, rode
his tricycle and left behind Php70000 worth of cash and one million worth of
items. Mang Rolando soon picked up a woman by the other street after drop
You never really get to know all the people in
the world. Some may leave an imprint in your
after a while. But all these people have a story, and
