VPA Graded Course Of Study - Akron Public Schools

Foreword
The 4-12 Visual and Performing Arts Curriculum is the official statement of what shall be taught
in the Visual and Performing Arts programs in Akron Public Schools. The Fine Arts Standards
adopted by the Ohio Department of Education serve as the basis for the program. The
standards are researched-based and reflect the changes taking place in education. This
document addresses improving student achievement by defining high standards.
This graded course of study is one part of the total curriculum development process.
