Indoor close-quarter combat involves more than just shooting, and a
balistically safe training facility for live-fire urban operations must provide you
with more than just steel walls. A complete shoothouse must provide multiple
options for entering and exiting, other than just through the front door.
For operations training involving windows, we offer a safe and simple solution.
In the closed position, our MATCH window system maintains the same 100%
ballistic environment as the rest of the building. When you slide the steel and
plywood cover panel to the side along the support rails, you expose the open
window. You can now train for multiple window entrance and exit scenarios as
your requirements dictate. Slide the cover panel back into place, and the
ballistic integrity of the room is restored. Windows are also available with a
ballistic outset from the wall of the house so you can use the opening as a
window while still maintaining ballistic protection against an escaping round,
even if it passes through the window opening.
Quick and easy reconfiguration of your MATCH layout is possible with the use
of sliding ballistic doors. You can close off rooms, expand hallways, or create
a blind alcove; all while maintaining complete ballistic protection. Changing
up the layout like this makes a smaller house more effective and greatly
increases your training potential.
Sometimes ignoring the doors and windows and coming through the walls is
the best course of action. By using our special breach panel, MATCH can help
you prepare for that as well. The breach panel is an armor steel framework
that measures 4 feet by 8 feet and fits permanently into your wall the same
way a standard panel would. By unbolting the armor steel cover, you reveal a
large opening in the framework that you can cover with a standard piece of
plywood or other material. Any of the various explosive breaching techniques
may be used to break through the plywood and simulate a wormhole wall
breach. Just like with the window, replacing the steel cover of the breach
panel restores the ballistic integrity of the wall. Breach panels can be placed
around the MATCH perimeter or in one of the interior walls according to your
training needs.
