Uses Webinars to
Recruit Students
The CON implemented webinars
in July 2012 to recruit students for
the 2012-13 admission cycle.
Prospective students learned about
the CON programs by attending one
of many interactive presentations
transmitted over the web. Current
MSN, DNP, and PhD students join the
program directors and Dr. McKeon,
Student Affairs assistant dean, to
answer questions of the prospective
students. This format has been very
successful, in large part due to the
enthusiasm of the CON students in
sharing the “lived” experience of
their program.

Stories
Nikia Grayson was selected as a
recipient of the 2012 Harold Love
Outstanding Community Involvement
Award. She was one of five students
and five faculty/staff members in
Tennessee Higher Education selected to
receive a $1000 award in recognition
of significant public service.
John Ogles and Jason Casey, who
were Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
New Careers in Nursing (NCIN)
Scholars, were featured in the NCIN
FastTrack Newsletter. Both John and
Jason graduated from the MSN-CNL
program in May, 2012.
