REGION BOUNDARIES<br />
<strong>Poll</strong> <strong>Dorset</strong> members <strong>in</strong> Australia are grouped <strong>in</strong>to 15 geographical regions, which<br />
are adm<strong>in</strong>istered by Regional Committees, whose duties are to keep Council <strong>in</strong>formed and<br />
advised on local problems, arrange and carry out flock <strong>in</strong>spections, organise and conduct sales<br />
as required, be responsible for pre-show and pre-sale <strong>in</strong>spections, recommend judges to small<br />
show societies with<strong>in</strong> the Region, assist and advise breeders <strong>in</strong> the Region <strong>in</strong> regard to all matters<br />
relat<strong>in</strong>g to the <strong>Association</strong> and to promote and safeguard breed <strong>in</strong>terests <strong>in</strong> the Region at all times.<br />
The States which are regions <strong>in</strong> themselves are Tasmania and Western Australia, while<br />
Queensland Members are <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> the Northern Region. There are no registered <strong>Poll</strong> <strong>Dorset</strong>s<br />
<strong>in</strong> the Northern Territory. The boundaries of the rema<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g 13 Regions are detailed as follows:<br />
• Northern:<br />
Queensland and Northern area of NSW bounded by a straight l<strong>in</strong>e from Mung<strong>in</strong>di (N.S.W)<br />
to Taree (N.S.W).<br />
• Tamworth:<br />
Area <strong>in</strong> N.S.W. bounded by one l<strong>in</strong>e from Mung<strong>in</strong>di to Taree and a second l<strong>in</strong>e from Gosford<br />
to Mudgee to Coolah to Coonabarabran to Barad<strong>in</strong>e to Walgett to New Angledool.<br />
• Central Western:<br />
Area <strong>in</strong> Central N.S.W. bounded by one straight l<strong>in</strong>e from Gosford to Mudgee to Well<strong>in</strong>gton<br />
to Yeoval to Tullamore to Euabalong West to West Wyalong to Boorowa to Sydney.<br />
• Dubbo:<br />
Area of N.S.W. bounded by l<strong>in</strong>es from NewAngledool to Walgett to Barad<strong>in</strong>e to Coonabarabran<br />
to Coolah to Mudgee to Well<strong>in</strong>gton to Yeoval to Tullamore to Euabalong West to Wilcannia<br />
to Broken Hill.<br />
• South Western:<br />
South West area of N.S.W. bounded by l<strong>in</strong>es from Mulwala to Narrandera to West Wyalong<br />
to Euabalong West to Wilcannia to Broken Hill.<br />
• Albury-Wagga:<br />
Area <strong>in</strong> South N.S.W. bounded by l<strong>in</strong>es from Mulwala to Narrandera to West Wyalong to Young<br />
to Boorowa to Khancoban.<br />
• Southern Tablelands:<br />
Area <strong>in</strong> South East of N.S.W. bounded by l<strong>in</strong>es from Khancoban to Rye Park to Rugby to<br />
Sydney.<br />
• Goulburn Valley:<br />
North east area <strong>in</strong> Victoria bounded by l<strong>in</strong>es from Inglewood to Torrumbarry to N.S.W.<br />
border and from Inglewood to Glenburn to Omeo to N.S.W. border.<br />
• Wimmera Malee:<br />
North West area <strong>in</strong> Victoria bounded by l<strong>in</strong>es drawn from Bordertown to Hall’s Gap to<br />
Inglewood to Torrumbarry to N.S.W. border.<br />
• Gippsland<br />
South East area <strong>in</strong> Victoria bounded by l<strong>in</strong>es drawn from Melbourne to Glenburn to Omeo<br />
to NSW border.<br />
• Central (Vic)<br />
Central to South area <strong>in</strong> Victoria bounded by l<strong>in</strong>es drawn from Port Fairy to Hall’s Gap to<br />
Inglewood to Glenburn to Melbourne.<br />
• Naracoorte-Hamilton:<br />
Area <strong>in</strong> Victoria and South Australia bounded by l<strong>in</strong>es drawn from Men<strong>in</strong>gie (S.A.) to Keith<br />
to Bordertown (S.A.) to Hall’s Gap (Vic.) to Port Fairy (Vic).<br />
. Adelaide:<br />
Area <strong>in</strong> South Australia exclud<strong>in</strong>g that portion of the Naracoorte-Hamilton Region.
