The chef is excited about running his third
Jamie’s Italian outlet – this time in Perth
The dining scene in Perth is
hotting up as Jamie’s Italian,
which officially opened its doors
in March, promises to offer diners
delicious and authentic Italian
food at affordable prices.
The latest branch of Jamie’s
Italian, the restaurant chain
founded by British celebrity chef
Jamie Oliver, is the second of
the brand’s outlets in Australia
following the Sydney opening.
Heading the kitchen is chef
Lorenzo Schiaffini, whose CV
includes running two Jamie’s
Italian restaurants in the UK – first
in Brighton, then in Cambridge.
The brand’s philosophy of using
local, top-quality, high-welfare
and sustainable ingredients will
continue in the Perth restaurant.
“All our vegetables are from WA,
and what we use will change with
the seasons,” says Schiaffini. “Our
canola oil is sourced from local
WA farmers. We’re also using
fantastic local artisan bread made
by top baker Damian Norvilas at
Organic Loafers.”
Highlights from the menu
include the prawn linguine, made
with Australian king prawns
from the Spencer Gulf; and the
tuna fusilli, featuring line-caught
albacore tuna.
Jamie’s Italian Perth is at 140
William St, Perth, WA.
