For my first anniversary of my wedding,
I wanted to make
the day truly
memorable and
Jetstar helped us
a lot. I managed
to get a pair of
affordable tickets
for a weekend
getaway to Hong
Kong. In Hong Kong,
my wife and I met
the internationally
famous and eminent
couple, Mickey and
Minnie. We also
sampled Cantonese,
Shanghainese and
Szechuan cuisines.
We found Hong Kong to be a unique city,
as we could experience both traditional
and modern aspects of life — think a
panoramic view of soaring skyscrapers

from beautiful Kowloon harbour and on the
other hand, ancient Buddhist temples full of
worshippers with incense sticks. It was such
a marvellous weekend.

HAIKOU
Our last extended family trip back to
Hainan Island was 13 years ago. Back
then, there was no direct flight to Haikou
from Singapore, and we had to transit
in Guangzhou or Hong Kong. Now, with
Jetstar’s direct flight, we managed to enjoy
greater convenience and cash savings. In
addition, this Hainan trip greatly met our
expectations. Both flights departed and
arrived on time. The flight was smooth,
in-flight service was prompt and the crew
members were efficient. We were flying
to Haikou to commemorate the first
anniversary of our grandfather’s death. This
picture was taken in front of his coconut
villa in Wen Chang, a one-and-a-half hour
drive from Haikou. What makes our “star
jumping” picture more memorable is that
for the first time, all 11 of my grandfather’s
grandchildren were congregated at his
beloved coconut villa. We believe that it
meant something special to him with all of
us present. Thank you, Jetstar.
