While writing, editing and photographing “Hive Minded,” our August 2010
story about Philadelphia’s beekeepers, a lot of jokes were made about
the “buzz” surrounding the topic. One even made it into the story. But
in truth, we did create some buzz, such as this email Julie Albright sent
to photographer Keliy Anderson-Staley. “I was on a United plane this
weekend and…I saw that Hemispheres was doing a story on beekeeping,
which interests me. (In the

seems the kids really are alright.
