Three-phase A.C. motors
The standard version motors are fitted with permanently lubricated bearings.
Any deviation from the nominal operating temperature for the motors has an influence on the service life of the bearings.
(In case of extreme conditions for use, adhere to the recommendations of the manufacturer)
Motors with lubricating equipment
Motors from construction size 160 and above can be fitted with lubricating equipment. The lubrication intervals for these motors have
to be adhered to and the named types of grease must be used. After lubricating, the bearing should be run without a load to distribute
the grease.
The effectiveness of the bearing lubrication should be checked by measuring the temperature on the bearing shield with the motor
running. If the measured temperature exceeds +80 degrees C, the lubricating intervals have to be shortened. Lubrication intervals
should be halved for every 15 K in the temperature increase. If this is not possible, special lubricants for very high temperatures
should be used.
