alone is our highest goal. Through illumination
you have attained Moksha (emancipation). You
have levelled down your mind. May you be alone
as the great Mauni 134 after having acquired Divine
wealth and given up all the stains of the world. To
which the King questioned: Are not the actions of
Jivanmuktas performed through the mind? How
replied: The mind is no other than the Vasanas
India preserve taciturnity of speech. The author explains this word in
another part of this book to mean one who is free from the longings of
the world though moving in them; hence silent to the desires of the
world, and not in speech. The great Mauni is said to be Siva.
