Again Manu continued „First Jnana should be
developed through a deep study of Jnana Sastras
and association with the wise. This Subechcha (or
good desire) forms the first Bhumika (or stage) of
Jnana. It does not apply to Karma Yogis (who
indulge in rituals alone). The ceaseless Atma-
Vichara (Atmic enquiry) constitutes the second
stage. Asanga-Bhavana is the third. In the fourth
stage, Satvapatti will destroy to the root all
Vasanas. Ananda-Swarupa (the blissful Reality)
replete with the non-illusory and immaculate
Jnana is the fifth stage (of Asamsakti). This stage in
which there is not the Upadhi, (vehicle) of waking
or sleeping is the Jivanmukti stage. In the sixth
