• The Ipo Dam opens 1 gate by 30cm today, Monday, 180630H June 2012
• The water release from Ipo Dam is expected to affect the low-lying areas along
Angat River from Norzagaray to Hagonoy.
• Residents in the area are advised for possible increase in the water level
downstream
V. STATUS OF ROADS AND BRIDGES
1. Kalinga-Abra Road (Talalang Section) – CLOSED TO TRAFFIC due to landslides
• Ongoing road clearing operations
2. Shilan-Beckel Road, La Trinidad – CLOSED TO TRAFFIC due to landslides
• Ongoing road clearing operations
3. Kennon Road, Camp 3 – OPEN TO LIGHT VEHICLES ONLY due to recurring slides
• Further road clearing operations due to recurring slides
4. Magapit Suspension Bridge, Lallo, Cagayan – CLOSED TO TRAFFIC due to ongoing
rehabilitation works.
VI. SEAPORT OPERATIONS
• Brooke’s Point to Mapun, Cagayan Tawi-Tawi – resumed operations
• Coron to Manila, Liminangcong to Manila via El Nido and Coron - Cancelled
VII. EMERGENCY PREPAREDENESS AND RESPONSE:
A. NDRRMC
• Disseminated NDRRMC Advisories on Severe Weather Bulletins; Gale Warnings and
Flood Advisories to all regions affected through SMS and facsimile, uploaded the same
at the NDRRMC Website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts for further dissemination to
their respective local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs)
from the provincial down to the municipal levels
• Directed RDRRMCs concerned through the OCD Regional Centers to undertake
precautionary measures in their respective areas of responsibility (AOR) and
subsequently advised local DRRMCs to initiate pre-emptive evacuation of families in lowlying
and mountainous areas if situation warrants
• NDRRMC–OPCEN was activated effective 11:00 AM, 13 June 2012 under “Blue Alert”
status in view of the entry of Typhoon “BUTCHOY” (GUCHOL) in the Philippine Area of
Responsibility. Consequently, due to the closing of TS BUTCHOY to the country, Alert
Level at the NDRRMC OPCEN was upgraded from BLUE to RED ALERT STATUS
effective 8:00 PM, 15 June 2012. All NDRRMC member agencies were required to send
representative/s at the NDRRMC Operations Center for quick coordination with their
respective counterparts at the local level in view of the possible adverse effects the
present weather disturbance may bring.
• PAGASA advised the Magat FFWS Dam Office re Commencement of Preparatory Phase
of Flood Warning Operation dated 14 June 2012 at 11:00 AM. NDRRMC OPCEN
disseminated to OCD Region II
• OPCEN coordinated with AFP for an aircraft to be prepositioned at Lepaspi City.
• The Office of the President through the Executive Secretary instructed the NDRRMC to
prepare a briefing for the President’s appreciation regarding the preparations of TY
BUTCHOY (GUCHOL)
