Torque Multiplier 3.500 Nm
Define target output torque and choose
the right torque multiplier
(capacities 1,500 - 9,500 N·m).
Calculate input torque according to ratio
(here 1/5th of required torque) and set
torque wrench - never exceed the maximum
input torque:
Example:
Target output torque: 1.500 Nm
Ratio: 1:5
= Input torque: 300 Nm
Assemble socket on output square of
multiplier (Caution: only use impact sockets
with safety pin and ring due to high
tension, do not use an extra-long socket
or an extension).
3.3 TORQUE MULTIPLIERS
– Universal torque multiplier for up to 3.500 Nm
– For maximum torque multiplication without electric or pneumatic devices
– With precision planet gear for high efficiency
– Effective gear ratio 1:4,5, no conversion necessary
– Multiplication accuracy according to DIN ISO 6789 / ASME B107.14M-1994
better than ±5%
– Low maintenance, with lifetime lubrication
– Including permanently welded reaction plate and sliding reaction square
in 25 mm (1") which can be fixed to an adjacent screw together with an
impact socket
– With overload protection through input square for protecting the gear box,
including spare square
– In sturdy metal case
Material: special steel
Surface: manganese phosphated
Place multiplier on the fastener and
choose a suitable reaction point .
Caution:
Check if multiplier is rotating in the right
direction - reaction point must be stable!
Now tighten until you hear the click.
Do not overload the multiplier.
After the multiplier is locked on:
Do not strike the anti wind-up ratchet.
Reverse the direction of the wind-up
ratchet and untighten with the torque
wrench until multiplier can be unlocked.
