Henry Guss Henry Guss Henry Guss, gr<strong>and</strong>father <strong>of</strong> Rumina Elizabeth Guss, was born June 16, 1792 in Chester County, Pennsylvania, first <strong>of</strong> ten children <strong>of</strong> Simeon <strong>and</strong> Barbara (Knerr) Guss. Henry married Elizabeth Foose in 1814 in Perry County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Foose was born July 28, 1794. Henry <strong>and</strong> Elizabeth had twelve children, all <strong>of</strong> which were born in Perry County, Pennsylvania. Henry was a shoemaker <strong>and</strong> farmer. Henry <strong>and</strong> Elizabeth moved to Juniata County, Pennsylvania in 1842 <strong>and</strong> joined the Methodist church. Henry died March 21, 1866 in Licking Creek Valley, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth died December 28, 1863 in Milford, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
