Klaus E. Oldendorff Ltd., Mr. Symeon Boeros, has been busy
delivering commemorative “NORD” watches to our sea staff who
completed five years of service with our company.
On board MV “NORDSPRING”.....
Oiler Anandan Chandran
Mr. Chandran hails from Sri Lanka and joined Reederei “NORD”
in November 1998. He has sailed on “NORDBEACH”,
“NORDSUND”, “NORDSTRAND”, “NORDTRAVE”,
“NORDSTAR”, and “NORDSPRING”. He is pictured here receiving his “NORD” watch from
Mr. Boeros. Pictured on the right is also Capt. Samaranayake.
AB Gamini Narayana Mudalige
Mr. Mudalige is also from Sri Lanka and he joined us in May 1999
as an OS onboard the “NORDCLIFF”. He also sailed on
“NORDSTAR”, “NORDLAKE” and “NORDBEACH”, until his
promotion to AB in July 2004. Since then, he has sailed
on “NORDBEACH”, “NORDMED” and “NORDSPRING”.

Congratulations are also in order for C/E Jacek
Plucinski. He too has completed 15 years of service
with our company.
I was born in 1963 in Szczecin, Poland. After
completion of my studies at the Technical School (specialising in
Ship building) I started work in the Machinery department of
Stocznia Szczecinska in 1983 and I worked there for six years.
Then I started my sea service, working for a Greek Owner.
My first contact with Reederei “NORD” was
back in February 1993, when I joined MV “NORDISLE” as a
Fitter. I also served on “NORDBEACH”, “NORDWELLE”
and “NORDWOGE”. In February 1996, I was promoted to
IDF Foreman and served on “NORDWOGE”,
“NORDWELLE”, “NORDSTRAND”, “NORDPARTNER”
and “NORDPOL”.
In 1999, I attended the Marine Academy in Szczecin
and I got my 3rd Engineer’s License. I joined “NORDHAWK”
as a 3rd Engineer, in February 2000 and continued in
this position on “NORDSCOUT”, “NORDHEIM”,
“NORDMAX” and “NORDTRAVE”.
Then, in October 2004, I was promoted to a 2nd
Engineer and served on “NORDWESER”, “NORDMOSEL”,
“NORDSTRAND”, “NORDSEA” and “NORDHAWK”.
Presently, the Company promoted me to the position of Chief
Engineer, which I will continue on board “NORDHAWK”.
On a personal note; I'm married to my lovely
wife Elzbieta and I have two beautiful daughters Agata 15 years
old and Agnieszka, 20 years old, who is studying at Szczecin
University.
