„Pan tu nie stał“ ist das polnische
Modelabel einer Soziologin und
eines Grafikers: Justyna Burzyńska
und Maciej Lebiedowicz beschlossen
2006, ihre Privatsammlung polni-
scher Grafiken – aus der Zeit des
Kommunismus – in einem Blog zu
präsentieren. 2008 eröffneten sie
einen Online-Shop mit den ersten
PNTS-Produkten: T-Shirts mit Aufdru-
cken im Retro-Design. Heute ist ihr
Unternehmen eine der angesagtesten
Jugendbrands.
Ästhetische Inspiration des Desig-
nermodelabels „Pan tu nie stał“ sind
die grauen, von Knappheit geprägten
kommunistischen Jahre in Polen und
die gehaltvollen Konzepte – Illustrati-
onen, Poster, Verpackungen –, die
vor diesem tristen Hintergrund umso
brillanter schienen.
Pan tu nie stał is a Polish fashion
label run by Justyna Burzyńska – a
sociologist and Maciej Lebiedowicz
– a graphic designer. In 2006 they de-
cided to set up a blog presenting their
private collection of Polish graphic
designs from the communist era. In
2008 they opened an online shop
with first productions made for PTNS
label: t-shirts with prints resembling
the past design style. Now they run
a business which has become one of
the trendiest brands for the young
generation.
Pan tu nie stał (You were not
standing here!)
The aesthetics of the “Pan tu nie stał”
designer clothing brand was formed,
on the one hand, by the gray tedium
and shortages of the Communist era
in Poland, and, on the other, by the
high-quality designs which stood out
against this mundane background –
the illustrations, books, posters and
packaging that were created during
this period.
Honza Zamojskis Projekte sind von
unterschiedlichen, oft widersprüch-
lichen Konzepten inspiriert: Zufall,
Ordnung, Wiederholung, Vergänglich-
keit. Ihn interessieren die kleinen,
fast trivialen Dinge, die in seinen
Arbeiten zu Schlüsselelementen
werden. Zamojski ist Mitgründer der
STARTER Association and Gallery
(2005–2010) und leitet aktuell einen
kleinen Verlag namens MORAVA.
Überdies kuratierte er zahlreiche
Honza’s works are inspired by a
number of complementary concepts
such as chance, order, repetition and
temporariness. He also looks for the
small, almost trivial things which in
his works then become key elements.
In addition to his work as an artist,
he was a co-founder of STARTER As-
sociation and Gallery (2005–2010) and
now he runs a small publishing house
MORAVA and is a curator of many
exhibitions. In 2011 for the publication
