The participation comes to affirm the pioneering role of the Sultanate in the field of enhancing dialogue and understanding among various nations and communities. — ONA Spreading awareness about misleading ads MUSCAT — Oman Association for Consumer Protection (OACP) will organise a seminar titled "Misleading Advertisements" on Sunday at City Seasons Hotel under the auspices of Sultan bin Hamdoon al Harthy, Muscat Municipality Chairman. The two-day seminar will include a number of working papers relating to the issue of misleading advertisements, as well as discussing experiences of the neighbouring countries in controlling the misleading advertisements. The seminar stems from the OACP responsibility towards protecting the consumers against such advertisements, as well as raising their awareness in selecting products and goods. — ONA Minister to participate in Manama celebrations MUSCAT — Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism, arrived in Manama yesterday to take part in the activities of "Manama Capital for Arab Tourism 2013," as per invitation of Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed al Khalifa, Minister of Culture in Bahrain. Dr Shaibaniyah gave a speech in the conference during which she highlighted the prominent role being played by AWO to upgrade women in all fields.
