Nissan Sunny’s success continues to flourish in Oman
MUSCAT — The new Nissan Sunny
have proved to be a sales success
for Nissan Oman. The Nissan
Sunny sold 325 vehicles in its first
week on sale.
The all-new Nissan Sunny is
the completely revised tenth generation
of this popular sedan which
is a key player in the highly competitive
C-segment market.
Suhail Bahwan Automobiles
(SBA), the sole distributor for
Nissan vehicles in Oman, is currently
getting an average of 100
enquires of the Nissan Sunny per
day, indicating strong favourable
consumer response to the vehicle.
“The outstanding success of
the new Nissan Sunny goes far beyond
our expectations. The Sultanate
of Oman is a very competitive
market, and the audience Nissan
Sunny targets, trendy, stronglyopinionated
youth, is challenging
to reach,” said an official spokesperson
of SBA.
“The consistent high sales numbers
prove that the car has struck
the right balance in offering the
best of Nissan reliability and quality
as well as a young and dynamic
style,” he added.
The all-new Nissan Sunny’s design
is distinct from most current
compact sedans, both inside and
out. Externally All-New Sunny
offers a refreshing design character
that is both sophisticated and
highly aerodynamic while inside
it offers five-passenger practicality
with a high degree of comfort and
refinement.
The all-new Nissan Sunny’s interior
cabin volume of 2549 litres
gives more rear legroom than some
mid-size sedans - trumping even
some luxury cars.
Offered with either a four-speed
automatic or five-speed manual to
complement the 1.5-litre engine,
the All-New Nissan Sunny also has
generous levels of standard equipment
and a broad range of choice.
Features across the All-New Sunny
range include drive computer and
air conditioning along with a high
level of safety equipment including
twin airbags, anti-lock brakes
and Electronic Brake Distribution
At the top end of the range,
the All-New Sunny ‘SL’ grade
boasts parking sensors, steering
wheel-mounted audio controls
and a Bluetooth hands-free phone
system, 15-inch alloys and front
and rear electric windows and fog
lamps.
The Sunny, or the original Datsun
1000, or the American Sentra,
or the Mexican Tsuru has been an
important model in Nissan’s lineup
for decades. Starting its life as a
subcompact, and graduating as a
compact, the Sunny has always
been one of the more popular cars
from the Nissan stable. We shed
European
transfer service LONDON — European
stocks firmed unsteadily yesterday,
helped by rising German
business confidence,
but the Spanish market fell
after an electoral setback for
the government amid new
strains over its debt. In late
morning trading, London’s
FTSE 100 benchmark index
of top shares rose 0.38 per
cent to 5,876.77 points and
Frankfurt’s DAX 30 added
0.36 per cent to 7,020.98,
while in Paris the CAC 40
was flat at 3,476.24 points.
Frankfurt was boosted
by news that German business
confidence rose slightly
in March, according to Ifo’s
key business climate index.
But traders remain concerned
that the German
economy could be losing
some of its momentum.
Madrid’s Ibex 35 index
dived 1.71 per cent to
8,310.8 points. In foreign
exchange deals yesterday,
the European single currency
retreated to $1.3203 from
$1.3268 in New York late
on Friday, while bond yields
remain high as a result of ongoing
tensions over the euro
zone debt crisis.
“The markets are brushing
off the stronger Ifo data
and preferring to concentrate
on the negative today
— creeping euro zone bond
yields (and) Rajoy’s failure
to gain a majority in regional
elections in Andalusia,” said
