PAKISTANI-American actress Nargis Fakhri rubbishes
rumours of a romantic link-up with Shahid
Kapoor and says she is still single.
“That was pretty interesting because I woke up in the
morning and didn’t even know that I had moved into somebody’s
house... Everything is a rumour. I am still single,
unfortunately because I would love to meet someone lovely,”
the 32-year-old said.
Nargis attended Shahid’s birthday celebrations in Goa,
supposedly sparking off the rumours.
“Yeah, there were a lot many people that I know who
went as well. So, I don’t know why I was not dating all
of those people,” said the actress who made her debut in
Indian films with Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
Her performance in her debut film met with mixed reactions
and the actress currently has no project in hand.
Now a film based on Osho’s ideology: After scripting
Gandhi to Hitler, Nalin Singh is set to make a movie
inspired by the ideologies of spiritual guru Osho.
Co-scripted by Singh and Arunesh Ranjan, the film revolves
around a successful rock band in search of moksha.
“My film is all about rock and roll. It is an international
film and the subject has been in my mind for years,” said
Singh.
“It was a very challenging task for us to put Osho’s ideology
in a fictional story,” added Ranjan.
The film will go on floors by June.
Singer Tulisa sues
ex over tape

The X Factor judge
was devastated when intimate
footage appeared
online of her and former
lover Justin Edwards.
She now claims he was
the person responsible
for it which Edwards
denies.
But now a lawyer
for Contostavlos has issued
legal papers against
Edwards, also known as
MC Ultra, to prevent him
talking about the video.
“She’s suing for up to £100,000. This latest move by Tulisa
has really unnerved and unsettled him. It’s serious stuff and
he’s got to take it seriously. It’s a lot of pressure for him,” contactmusic.com
quoted a source as saying.
‘‘This is an unusual case, in that the injunction was granted
after the material became public, not before. It entitles Tulisa
to seek damages,” the source added.
Kimberley’s weighty issues: Singer Kimberley Walsh
is worried about staying in shape once she finishes her stint
in Shrek: The Musical. The singer who took over the role of
Princess Fiona last October is concerned that when her time in
London’s West End comes to an end in May she will pile on
the pounds because she won’t be so active.
“Being on stage is a great way of staying in shape. We do
eight shows a week and my dressing room is up two flights of
stairs, so I’m always working out,” she told Closer magazine
in an interview.
“I’m a bit worried about eating the same amount of food
when I’m no longer doing the show. It’s been such a treat not
worrying about what I eat,” she said.
Weight gain is not the only worry for the 30-year-old. She
admitted her last night in the musical will be an emotional experience,
reports contactmusic.com.
“I’m worried about how I’ll get through my last night. It’s
going to be so emotional. But it’s the right time for me to go. I
won’t be doing more theatre any time soon. I need a holiday,”

Aditi welcomes competition
between new, old actors

believes in healthy competition
and says the success stories
of senior actors motivates
new entrants.
“I guess happy, healthy
competition is a good thing.
You have people who have
been working in the industry
for a long time, they are doing
good work and the entire
nation is crazy about them. It
encourages us to work much
harder,” she said when asked
whether the young face stiff
competition from the likes of
the three Khans.
“We have people who we
look up to. So I think it’s a
good thing and a good trend,”
added the 33-year-old. She
was speaking on the sidelines
of Big Star Young Entertainer
awards where young and new
talents were honoured for their
achievements.
Aditi says the segregation
between new and old is
not necessary, but agrees that
it helps youngsters who feel
lost.
“I don’t think there is a
need for segregation. But
maybe we are in a phase in our
film industry where there are
so many exciting people and
there are lots of senior people
who are still doing fabulous
work. I think that’s why the
younger ones, who are entering
the industry, tend to get a
little lost.
“I think it’s a good thing
that so many wonderful peo-
ple from all age groups and
generations are working under
the same roof,” she added.
Aditi started her Bollywood
career with Delhi 6 and went
on to do a small role in Yeh
Saali Zindagi. She featured
as a journalist in Imtiaz Ali’s
Rockstar before landing the
lead role in Goldie Behl’s London,
Paris, New York opposite
Pakistani actor Ali Zafar.
Shaan brings Kishore’s

the years — and a concert by
singer Shaan, who sang evergreen
hits of the legendary actor-singer,
was proof enough.
Be it children in early
teens or the elderly ones in
the crowd — people across
all ages swayed to Kishore
da’s tunes on Sunday night as
Shaan performed at a musical
evening dedicated to the legendary
singer.
One could see the crowd
of over 1,000 Kishore Kumar
fans in the audience completely
engrossed as Shaan set the

Between policy
and practice
THERE are vast differences between policy and practice.
These two terms move in two straight parallel
lines that could not meet whatsoever. Idiomatically
speaking, policy is not only the recognised political concept
in the relations between countries, entities and international
institutions. Rather, it is the plan or the approach
followed by a country, government or a body in addressing
an aspect in its respective field or a tool of its prerogatives
In its wider sense, policy may be righteous according
to the requirements and the visions towards an aspect. The
evaluation of these policies is required occasionally as part
of the reviews for the objectives and policies with the aim
of evaluating the positive aspects and sustaining it, in addition
to addressing the negative aspects.
Practice may be needed for implementing a particular
policy. It may be the routine work that are not completely
related with policies. This practice can also be subjected
to evaluation and review due to its potential for major errors
because policies may in practice be prone to errors in
application.
If the policy or the plan set by the country or the government
has objectives or visions to achieve a certain objective,
the practice for applying a policy needs to consider
the requirements of the people and be within a reasonable
limit. For example, the application of the basic education
plan is a policy drawn by the government to develop the
education, thus we should respect, appreciate and co-operate
to make this policy a great success. However, the application
of this policy has many mistakes, including the
issue of mixing between male and female students. There
is no justification for this aspect as it does not contribute
into the success of the basic education policy. Rather, there
are some negative behaviours that have started to appear as
a result of this admixture.
Also, the Ministry of Health has contributed in rationalising
the spending on the health sector as a policy or a
plan. Yet, this does not mean that the health centres will be
closed at 9 pm and the citizens who are in need of treatment
will find themselves forced to move from one hospital to
another seeking treatment and stand in queues waiting for a
general practitioner to inspect them late at night, etc.

Sajid praises Malaika
DIRECTOR Sajid Khan is all praise for Munni Malaika
Arora Khan, who has sizzled in the item song Anarkali
Disco chali from his forthcoming Housefull 2. No wonder she
is seen in all his films.
“Besides Akshay Kumar, it was Malaika Arora Khan who
has been associated with Sajid Khan’s films. Malaika’s item
song in Housefull 2 Anarkali Disco Chali has hit the chartbusters
big time,” the 40-year-old tweeted.
Sajid and Malaika share a close friendship. “When she got
married, I was her best man. Arbaaz (Khan) is my childhood
buddy. Malaika was part of Heyy Baby’ she was part of Housefull.
My sister Farah and Malaika also share a superb tuning
and every time they work together, they have always given hit
