Pointers Still Use Park

their respective municipal parks
for picnicking during the warm
weather. although the parks
were officially closed on Labor
Day, September 1.
It was disclosed that all
swimming pools have been com.
pletely closed down, with the
exception of that in' the Park's
Windmill Pointe Park.
Donald Guinan, director of
parks and recreation, said that
the pool is closed for this week,
but if the weather permits, it
will be in use this weekend,
september 20 and 21. However,
if the ttlmperature drops to the
point which prohibits swimmine:,
of if there is rain, the
facility will be shut dl)\\ n
permanentiy for the season.
Guinan revealed that with the

facilities on Labar Day, the
weekend attendance is very
light.
The swimming pool has been

Shores Village Superintendent
stated that there is :'10 longer a
watchman at the gate at the
George Osius Park to keep a
regular count, but the weekend
brought out a to.tal of about 832
persons. A Saturday and Sunday
breakdown was not given.
