André Lévy-Lang<br />

André Lévy-Lang, a French citizen, is a former student of the Ecole<br />

Polytechnique (1956) with a Ph.D. in Business Administration from<br />

the University of Stanford. He began his career in 1960 as a<br />

physicist at the French Atomic Energy Commission. From 1962 to<br />

1974 he held various different technical and managerial positions<br />

at the Schlumberger group, both in France and the United States.<br />

He joined the Paribas group in 1974 and in 1982 was appointed<br />

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Compagnie Bancaire, a<br />

specialised financing subsidiary of Paribas, before becoming<br />

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Paribas group in 1990.<br />

He held these positions until the merger with BNP in 1999. André<br />

Lévy Lang is an associate professor emeritus at the University of<br />

Paris-Dauphine, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Les Echos,<br />

Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Paris-Orléans, Chairman<br />

of both the Risk Foundation and the Louis Bachelier Institute, and<br />

Vice Chairman of the Europlace Finance Institute. He is also a<br />

member of the boards of the Institut des Hautes Etudes<br />

Scientifiques, the American Hospital in Paris and the French<br />

Institute for International Relations.<br />

Luc Rougé<br />

Luc Rougé, a French citizen, has 35 years of experience in<br />

reinsurance with SCOR in the management of treaties and claims,<br />

as well as in studies, reporting and controls. He was the Works<br />

Council representative on the Board of Directors in the 1980s,<br />

going on to serve as Secretary of the Works Council and as an<br />

employee-elected Director for nearly nine years. Since 2007 he has<br />

served as the Group employee Director elected by the employees<br />

worldwide.<br />

Guillaume Sarkozy,<br />

Representing Médéric Prévoyance<br />

Guillaume Sarkozy, a French citizen, is an engineer and a graduate<br />

of the Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics (ESTP). He began his<br />

professional career in 1974 at the Office of Public Safety in the<br />

Ministry of the Interior, before joining IBM France as a large<br />

corporate accounts manager in 1977. He has been a company<br />

leader in the textile and services industries since 1979. Until June<br />

2006, Guillaume Sarkozy exercised a number of responsibilities at<br />

the head of professional associations, notably the French Textile<br />

Industries’ Union (from September 1993 to May 2006), the<br />

Industrial Federations Group (2004 to July 2006), the CNPF and<br />

the MEDEF (1994-2006). Guillaume Sarkozy joined Médéric in<br />

June 2006 and was appointed Group General Manager on 1<br />

September 2006.<br />

Herbert Schimetschek<br />

From 1997 to 2000, Herbert Schimetschek, an Austrian citizen,<br />

was Chairman of the Comité Européen des Assurances, then until<br />

June 2000, Vice Chairman of the Austrian Insurance Companies<br />

Association, and from 1999 to 2001, Chairman of the Management<br />

Board and Chief Executive Officer of UNIQA Versicherung A.G.<br />

Jean-Claude Seys<br />

Jean-Claude Seys, a French citizen, has made his career in both the<br />

insurance and the banking industries. He was Chairman and Chief<br />

Executive Officer of MAAF and of MMA, where he remains a<br />

Director. He is currently the Vice-Chairman and Deputy Director of<br />

COVEA (a mutual insurance group company).<br />

Claude Tendil<br />

Claude Tendil, a French citizen, began his career at UAP in 1972.<br />

He joined the Drouot Group in 1980 as Chief Operating Officer;<br />

he was promoted in 1987 to Chief Executive Officer, and then was<br />

appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Présence<br />

assurances, a subsidiary of the Axa Group. In 1989, he was<br />

appointed Director and Chief Executive Officer of Axa-Midi<br />

assurances, Chief Executive Officer of Axa from 1991 to 2000,<br />

then Vice-chairman of the management board of the Axa Group<br />

until November 2001. During this same period, he was also<br />

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Axa Group’s French<br />

insurance and assistance companies. Claude Tendil was appointed<br />

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Generali Group in<br />

France in April 2002 and Chairman of the Europ Assistance Group<br />

in March 2003.<br />

Daniel Valot<br />

A former student at the Ecole Nationale d’Administration and<br />

Chief Advisor to the French Court of Auditors (Cour des Comptes),<br />

Daniel Valot, a French citizen, was also notably Technical<br />

Cooperation Counsellor to the French Embassy in Tunisia,<br />

Managing Director of Total South East Asia, Chairman and CEO of<br />

Total Petroleum North America, Chief Executive Officer of Total<br />

Exploration Production, then Chairman and Chief Executive Officer<br />

of Technip from September 1999 to April 2007.<br />

Georges Chodron de Courcel<br />

Georges Chodron de Courcel, a French citizen, is Chief Operating<br />

Officer of BNP Paribas and holds various positions as a Director in<br />

subsidiaries of the BNP Paribas Group.
