The College of Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas is searching for dynamic and
progressive individuals to fill a variety of positions, contingent upon funding, within the College, including:
Assistant Professor, Nutrition, Tenure-track. Responsibilities will include teaching in and developing an
expanded course selection in the area of nutrition in both undergraduate and graduate programs. The
successful applicant will have the opportunity to provide nutrition focused coursework to undergraduate and
graduate students in the departments of Kinesiology, Nursing, and Physical Therapy as well as provide
multidisciplinary nutrition content to students in the basic sciences and pre-professional tracks. Expansion of
the nutrition focus opportunities available to students is a goal of the College. Applicants will be required to
meet University criteria in the areas of teaching, research, and service. An earned doctorate in nutrition is
required and certification as an R.D. is preferred. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Preference will be given to applicants with prior university teaching experience. The position is available in
Fall, 1998. Review of applicants will begin December 1 , 1997 and continue until the position is filled.
