<strong>Watershed</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Words</strong>!<br />
The <strong>Watershed</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Words</strong> contest began in 2008, and has grown from 40<br />
student participants in its first year to 1,124 this year. This contest provides<br />
<strong>Clark</strong> <strong>County</strong> students an opportunity to creatively express their interests,<br />
knowledge, and experiences related to water. It also encourages students and<br />
teachers to make the link between a healthy environment and the role that<br />
we all play in maintaining clean water throughout <strong>Clark</strong> <strong>County</strong>. Plus, students<br />
have fun writing and creating artwork for the <strong>Watershed</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Words</strong>!<br />
While reading through this collection <strong>of</strong> stories and enjoying the artwork, you<br />
will recognize the concern and sense <strong>of</strong> responsibility present in these students,<br />
and be inspired to join them in support <strong>of</strong> their watershed stewardship goals.
