Belt joints for long and short belts KLINGSPOR supplies
belts with various types of joints. The type of joint you
require depends on the work in-volved and the machine
you are using. The following illustrations show the usual
types of joint.
The available types of joint are listed in the product
charts on the following product pages.
Type 1 Type 2
Diagonal cut, glued
overlapped. This standard
joint will be supplied if no
other request is made.
Type 3 Type 4 G
Zigzag joint glued beneath
with clear tape for
completely smooth work
on very fragile workpieces,
particularly glass.
Type 3 G
Zigzag joint glued beneath
with reinforced tape for
completely smooth work
on very delicate parts, for
very high demands.
Type 5 Type 6
Diagonal cut, glued
overlapped. Grain area
removed completely.
Preferred joint for
woodworking.

nonwoven web belts-
Tape-reinforced butt joint
with additional frontal
adhesion.
Butt joint, diagonal cut,
glued with clear tape on
grain side. Grain area
removed completely. For
use on edge sanders (with
graphite pads).
