Installation of electric storage and mixed
floor heatings ECOFLOOR
Storage floor
On the heating insulation wchich consists of layer of extruded styrofoam ( or normal
styrofoam with quality 25kg/m3) of
width min 8cm is placed layer of concrete wchich thickness correspondence width 1/3
of total thickness of concrete floor layer. (Total floor layer of concrete has to be
about 10-14cm.) On the first concrete layer put the heating mat ECOFLOOR in
accordance with plan of possition. After measuring of electrical parameters of
heating mat is immediately placed second layer of concrete which correspondence with
2/3 of total thickness of concrete floor layer. Do not use any submergible vibrators
for firming of concrete. During putting of concrete layer be also carefull of demage
of cable. After finishing of concrete layer measure again electrical parameters of
heating cable. Heating system switch on at first 28 days after the pouring of
concrete at the earliest. We recommend that you use permanently elastic cement to
glue the tiling-one that its manufacturers recommend for use with heating floors.
(see chapter Materials for tiles installation… ).
For storage systems the concrete layer is 10-14 cm thick. Mat output is 250 to 300
W/m2.
1. base
2. thermal insulation (extruded polystyrene)
3. KARI steel mesh
4. ECOFLOOR heating mat
5. concrete storage layer, 12-14 cm thick
6. protective tube for floor probe
