Standard five: Uses correct patterns and analyses and interprets meaning in texts<br />
analyses language patterns in songs, poems or media e.g. tense, technique, repetition, rhyme,<br />
imagery<br />
applies learnt patterns in producing own texts<br />
uses knowledge <strong>of</strong> language structures to assist in interpreting texts e.g. use <strong>of</strong> the imperative<br />
analyses language in order to identify and explain structures and patterns in text<br />
reflects on formal and informal language, and when and where it is used<br />
develops and explains strategies for own language learning through identifying own learning style<br />
