4.2.1 Static Test (Estimated Battery Life)<br />

The Static test estimates the battery life of the hearing aid. To turn on the test:<br />

1. Enter the Battery screen (as described above).<br />

2. Use [F7] to set the battery size: Press [F7]. Use [∨, ∧] to select the battery<br />

size of the hearing aid. Use [>] to complete the selection and close the popup<br />

menu.<br />

3. Use [F4] to toggle the Static Tone to On. The estimated battery life should<br />

now be displayed below the ma/Freq graph. See Figure 4.2.<br />

By default, this test uses a pure-tone stimulus of 1000 Hz at 60 dB SPL. The<br />

current source selections are shown in a box below the mA/Ampl graph on the<br />

right side of the screen. You can:<br />

• Change the source Type by using [F3]. Toggle between Puretone and<br />

Composite,<br />

• Change the source Amplitude by using [∨, ∧], and<br />

• Change the source Frequency by using []. This setting is only available<br />

when the soucre type is set to Puretone with [F3].
