The image makers Photography Club is comprised of
members who are 9–13. Participants learn how to view the
world through the frame of a lens and tell a story, express
emotions, and document moments through still art. They
use many different types of cameras, including digital, disposable,
and pinhole. They define a great picture with the
“4 Cs”: clarity (detail and sharpness); composition
(relationship between elements); color (vibrancy); and
content (subject matter). image makers gives members
the opportunity to express themselves with a new art
form and the knowledge that possibilities are endless in
life. The Wake forest Boys & Girls Club is proud to have
won the national image makers award twice.

foCus: fine arts exHiBit
The Fine arts exhibit Program is a year-round program
that encourages artistic expression among Club members
ages 6–18 through drawing, painting, printmaking,
collage, mixed media, and sculpture. The children have the
opportunity to display their creations at local and regional
exhibits. last year, 198 members participated.
