This chapter shows the typical flow of an NFCIP-1 based communication. It is a<br />

refinement of the NFCIP-1 box showed in Figure 3.<br />

• The first common command (in terms of the several operating modes) is the<br />

ATR_REQ. If this command is recognized by the Target is shall send back an<br />

ATR_RES. If a collision occurs, the ATR_REQ/ATR_RES pair has to be<br />

repeated as long as the CRC is not okay.<br />

• If the Initiator then wants to change a parameter (Frame Size, Bit Rate) it will<br />

issue a PSL_REQ. This has to be acknowledged by a PSL_RES. This command<br />

pair is optional.<br />

• The DEP_REQ/DEP_RES block is the part where the payload exchange is<br />

performed. This pair can be exchanged as long as data is pending.<br />
