Dominick, Cicero Celebrate Puerto Rican Day in Cicero
The Town of Cicero celebrated Puerto Rican heritage and the contributions of Puerto Ricans to the rich history and
heritage of the Town of Cicero, and the United States, on June 14th at the Town’s annual Puerto Rican Day ceremony.
“Our Town has a rich mixture of immigrants, different cultures, and different backgrounds, that all come together
to make up one of the most diverse and interesting communities anywhere in the United States,” said Cicero Town
President Larry Dominick. “The Puerto Rican community in Cicero is strong, and each year, we are proud to honor their
heritage and the important part they play in the New Cicero.”
In honor of the declaration of Puerto Rican Day in Cicero, the Puerto Rican flag was raised to fly over Cicero Town Hall.
Special thanks goes out to Cynthia Salvino for her hard work in organizing this years celebration.
