Norm<strong>and</strong> Lépine is a pension investment specialist<br />

with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario<br />

(FSCO). In this role, he will provide expertise for the<br />

development/review of the pension investment risk<br />

assessment <strong>and</strong> monitoring program of the provincial<br />

pension industry to ensure compliance of pension<br />

plans in Ontario. He was previously with Johnson<br />

& Johnson.<br />

McCarthy Tétrault<br />

Kim Ozubko is counsel in the pensions, benefits,<br />

<strong>and</strong> executive compensation practice at McCarthy<br />

Tétrault. She has extensive experience in all matters<br />

relating to the legal <strong>and</strong> regulatory aspects of pension,<br />

group benefit, <strong>and</strong> profit-sharing plans including<br />

implementation, administration, governance,<br />

funding, <strong>and</strong> wind-up.<br />

AIMA Canada<br />

Gary Ostoich, of Spartan Fund Management, is chairman<br />

of AIMA Canada for 2010-2012. The executive<br />

committee also includes deputy-chair – Eamonn<br />

McConnell, Manna Asset Management; legal counsel<br />

– Michael Burns, McMillan LLP; secretary – Andrew<br />

Doman, Man Investments Canada Corp.; <strong>and</strong> treasurer<br />

– Chris Pitts, PricewaterhouseCoopers.<br />

MFC<br />

Jacqui Allard is global chief operating officer of<br />

MFC Global Investment Management. Before joining<br />

the firm as vice-president <strong>and</strong> chief administrative<br />

officer, she was a senior vice-president at State Street<br />

Corporation where she held various senior technology,<br />

operations, <strong>and</strong> client management positions.<br />

BNY Trust<br />

Robert Arnould is a sales representative for Western<br />

Canada at BNY Trust Company of Canada. He<br />

was formerly a senior vice-president at EFG International,<br />

a Canadian financial advisory firm.<br />

John W. Thompson is chief financial officer at RBC<br />

Dexia Investor Services. Previously, he held senior<br />

roles with CIBC, where he led the financial management<br />

<strong>and</strong> transformation of a number of major business<br />

units in the U.S. <strong>and</strong> Asia Pacific regions.<br />

AGF<br />

Gordon Forrester is executive vice-president, marketing<br />

<strong>and</strong> product, strategy <strong>and</strong> development, at AGF<br />

Investments Inc. He will lead marketing strategy <strong>and</strong><br />

product development initiatives for both the retail <strong>and</strong><br />

institutional channels. He comes to the firm with nearly<br />

three decades of experience in the financial services<br />

<strong>and</strong> investment industry, most recently in the U.S.<br />

RBC<br />

Patricia Croft has announced her retirement from<br />

the investment industry. The chief economist at RBC<br />

Global Asset Management will depart at the end of<br />

September after almost three decades in the investment<br />

industry. She is part of the team that manages<br />

the asset mix for $25 billion in balanced fund m<strong>and</strong>ates<br />

for Phillips, Hager <strong>and</strong> North Investment Management<br />

Ltd. <strong>and</strong> other RBC Global Asset Management<br />

affiliated companies.<br />

CPP Review<br />

Rob Brown will chair the three-member committee<br />

appointed to review the ‘25th Actuarial Report on<br />

the Canada Pension Plan.’ Brown chairs the International<br />

Actuarial Association’s Social Security Committee<br />

<strong>and</strong> has reviewed the CPP Actuarial Report in<br />

the past. He also a former president of the Canadian<br />

Institute of Actuaries.<br />

Sun Life<br />

Marie Foggetti is regional business development<br />

director for group retirement services at Sun Life<br />

Financial. She will be responsible for both consultant-driven<br />

<strong>and</strong> direct sales in central Canada. n<br />
