Almost every newspaper
and periodical prints letters to
the editor, Front Sight
included, but not all the
letters received are printed. If
you have thought about
writing a letter, there are ways
of increasing the chances of it
being chosen for publication.
Write a letter to the editor
when:
*You agree or disagree with
a story, article, news item, editorial
stance or other letter
I occasionally get asked
how a gunsmith or company
gets a picture of their gun on
the cover of Front Sight. The
answer is easy, become a series
sponsor. You can do that
by contacting Sarah Hollar at
USPSA area director elections
will be held this year. I
have already had a couple of
requests from individuals for
the necessary paperwork to
get their names on the ballot.
If you would like to run for
area director, you will need
signatures from 50 current annual
or life members who reside
in your area, and you
must become a life member if
you are elected. If you are interested,
give me a call and I
will send you the necessary
paperwork. The completed paperwork
must be returned to
the USPSA office no later
than July 1st.
We have something new
starting with this issue. The
Edingtons, Merle and Sharon,
have agreed to write articles
for Front Sight to help some
of the newer shooters get on
board with gear, guns and
practice. If you have some suggestions
on what you would
like them to write about or
comments on their article,
drop us a line and we will let
them know what you would
like to read.
USPSA will have a booth at
the NRA show in Phoenix,
May 19, 20 and 21. If you live
in the area and have the
time, we would like your help
manning the booth and answering
questions. At past
