French art nouvean Majolica Musicians, late 19th century, large
tin glazed earthenware male and female Majolica figures playing
instruments, by an unknown maker. The male with impressed 4993;
the female, with impressed 4884; ht. of male, 38.5 in.; ht. of female,
37 in. Flute is missing from male figure. Bow on his right knee repaired
and one finger repaired.

satyr masks above garlands of fruits
against a cobalt ground, and a lower band
of over lapping vertical laurel leaves; ht.

ht. 3.5, wd. 9 in; and a Majolica platter decorated with molded
asparagus and pineapples; lg. 14, wd. 11 in. Chip to under side of
platter; crazing to both.
